Overnight, Counting Countries has become my favorite podcast. Where else can you hear unfiltered stories of fellow travel enthusiasts and their adventures on the way to seeing every country in the world? I am both excited and honored to be this week’s guest…and maybe a little nervous–I am among some much, much more interesting and well-traveled folks!
Ric Gazarian is the host, and every two weeks manages to find some of the world’s most interesting travelers and takes a deep dive into their background, inspirations and most importantly their harrowing tales of traveling. From stories of plane malfunctions, to arrests, police bribes and wild animal attacks, Counting Countries will have you on the edge of your seat, or laughing out loud, or both…but I assure you it will never leave you bored.
I hope you’ll spend some time with Counting Countries; you can subscribe to the podcast on iTunes HERE, and you can simply click the play button below to hear my episode and the stories of so many incredible explorers!

I listened to that Podcast the other day and enjoyed it very much. Love your approach and outlook in life and can’t wait to see where you decide to go for Country #100! Considering you seem to hitting up most of the difficult countries to visit this early in the game, I won’t be surprised if you pick something crazy, like Angola, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Iraq, Syria or Afghanistan. Anyway, did Ric approach you to do this Podcast? Or did you approach him?
Thanks Ray!!! 99% #100 will be Iraq! I was introduced to Ric through a friend and soon after Ric invited me to be a guest. Thank you for listening and thanks for the support!!!
Randy, it was great having you on the podcast. Thanks for sharing all of your stories, and look forward to having you back!
Cool interview, Randy, great to hear your enthusiasm for travel and all the experiences you have accumulated on the way. All the best for Iraq and the next 97!
Hey, thanks so much Dan!!!
