Machu Picchu, Urubamba, Peru
I’ve been fortunate enough to take a ton of really cool selfies: in front of Cristo Retendor in Rio, while strolling the Great Wall of China, in front of the giant “Supreme Leaders” statues in North Korea…but I think Machu Picchu takes the cake!
Technically, these photos aren’t true “selfies”–they weren’t taken by me–but you get the idea. If there’s ever a bad-ass place to take a selfie, Machu Picchu has got to be on the top of the list.
What a spectacular background! But I’d be remiss if I didn’t marvel in the history of it all. It’s more than just a cool selfie-opp, but rather a step back in time to an ancient civilization so many centuries ago. Nat Geo has some cool facts about Machu Picchu here.
